During the conversation, the need for a regular exchange of views on all bilateral and international topics, as well as issues of importance for the two countries, was highlighted. The importance of establishing contacts between the parliamentarians of the two countries was also pointed out, which was also discussed during the last meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Fiji, in October 2019, when the Speaker of the Parliament Nailatikau was in Belgrade to participate in the 141st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Ambassador Stefanović also reminded that in the previous convocation in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, a parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of Fiji was formed, that the global pandemic of the infectious disease Covid-19 objectively affected the intensity of relations, but also expressed his belief that, after the end of the parliamentary elections in both countries, a more dynamic phase of bilateral relations and cooperation will follow.
