The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Canberra made his first official visit to Western Australia.

During his stay in Perth, Ambassador Stefanović met with Governor of Western Australia Chris Dawson, presidents of both houses of the Parliament of Western Australia - Alanna Clohesy, President of the Legislative Council (upper house) and Michelle Roberts, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly (lower house), as well as Minister Stephen Dawson, representative of the Prime Minister of Western Australia.

During the visit, the Ambassador also met with Klara Andrić, the first deputy in the upper house of the Parliament born in Serbia, leader of the opposition and President of the Liberal Party of Australia - Western Australian Division - David Honey, and Mayor of the city of Perth Basil Zempilas.

Special emphasis was placed on economic cooperation, as well as the position of the Serbian community in Australia. In this context several meetings were held, including in the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation of the Government of Western Australia, and visits were made to mining and energy companies operating in Serbia.

On the first day of the visit, Ambassador Stefanović and First Counsellor Ivana Isidorović also visited the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Perth where, after attending the evening service, they held a meeting with representatives of several Serbian associations from Perth and the surrounding area, with whom they discussed numerous current issues of interest to the Serbian community in Western Australia.
